SecurityChecklist keeps editorial scoring separate from affiliate commercial terms. Material claims need ledgers. Claims we cannot verify are not published. We do not invent testing hours or lab drama.

This policy tells readers how we write, what evidence we require, and how commercial relationships are disclosed so recommendations can be judged on their merits.

It covers trust pages, tools, reviews, comparisons, and guides across our data privacy, password, and antivirus clusters, plus business-security workflows that stay unscored until their evidence is complete.

Primary launch products under evaluation include Aura, NordPass, and Bitdefender only when source registers and destination checks support the page. Absence of a score is intentional claim safety.

Approved disclosure base wording: "SecurityChecklist may earn compensation when you purchase through links on this page. This does not change our testing criteria or product scores."

We do not claim complete prevention of identity theft, complete removal from the internet, guaranteed malware protection, guaranteed anonymity, guaranteed ChatGPT ranking, or guaranteed savings. We do not fabricate "hours tested," malware sample theater, or detection percentages.

Pages must render meaningful HTML without requiring client interaction for the core answer. We do not use hidden text, cloaking, or artificial keyword repetition.

Editors separate vendor-provided facts, independent evidence, our test results, and editorial judgement. Prices show checked dates when published; introductory vs renewal pricing is distinguished when known. Missing starting prices stay verified rather than invented.

AI-assisted drafts are edited and checked before they are published. Originality and factual checks run before anything is published. A published page does not always carry a numeric score. Where the evidence does not support one, we say so instead of inventing a figure.

Material claims need recorded prices sources with access dates. Country-specific availability limits are called out when known. Affiliate eligibility is verified separately from editorial scores.

Interactive tools must show basic results before any email ask, keep answers client-side when possible, and never request passwords, authentication codes, identity documents, banking data, or full dates of birth.

Tool fit figures are self-reported readiness or routing estimates. They are not published editorial scores, not live malware or broker scans, and not a substitute for verified test records on product pages.

SecurityChecklist will not invent legal sign-off, WCAG certification, company filings, customer counts, or testing hours to make a page look more complete.

Public partner pages and directory listings do not equal program acceptance. Affiliate eligibility alone never publishes a score.
